Lookbook | One with Autumn

Looking into what to wear for your autumn getaway? You’ve come to the right place for some wardrobe ideas!

Last month, we went to Seoul, South Korea & fulfilled my autumn dream! Aaaaaaaahhhh. If you’ve been around for quite some time, you know I love to dress up & getting ready for my Korea lookbook was such a thrill. Hah! It was quite challenging for me though because I had so many ideas but so little time. Heh. We were only there for 5 days so I did a lot of sorting to come up with cohesive looks to fit into a theme. (Wow! Naa jud theme?) Well, that’s just how I roll. Also, in my defence, I take time to prepare what I wear to make sure I don’t sacrifice comfort over fashion & that I won’t have to bring a lot of clothes. As much as I love to showcase different styles, as a mother, my luggage is not my own, if you know what I mean! With that, I took inspiration from autumn itself, its colors. Being one with autumn was the name of the game & this was my palette inpso!

Autumn is a very colorful season, therefore it’s a great time to pop some bright & crisp colors! There are a lot of palettes to choose from, really! Tip, search for photos of the places you’ll be going to, check out the colors or simply key in autumn color palettes on Pinterest. That should give you a head start! You can either do color blocking or go for a monochromatic look. Also, you can never go wrong with pairing autumn colors with your classic black &/or white!

26541How did I manage with only one coat? Before our trip, I did a lot of research on the weather. I really wasn’t convinced that it was crazy cold for me to bring two or more & i’m glad I went with my gut! I barely used it! Also, I get by with a little help from Uniqlo’s heattech. They really do wonders for me. So how’s autumn in Korea, you may ask. Is one coat really enough for at least 5 days?

Autumn in Korea

Autumn there runs from September to November with temperatures moving around 26ºC to 0ºC. September average 26° to 15°C, October average 19°C to 7°C & November average 11°C to 0°C. As stated on my previous blogs, reminding you again that every weather in every season varies. It does in different countries, cities, date & even the time in a day. So before you go on your trip, make sure to check the weather forecast. Another factor I noticed is where you come from, I come from a tropical country so I’m not used to temperatures dropping to 20 & so on, so what I wear may differ from somebody who’s used to temperatures dropping to 0. Going back to my trusty coat, the only time I used it was when we went to Nami Island & N Seoul Tower. It was quite chilly in Nami because it’s an island by the sea (of course) & N Seoul Tower, being in a high altitude plus it was evening when we went, the coat came in handy. Gladly it wasn’t windy, it didn’t rain & the sun up for the most part of our visit.

It’s not the same for everyone but I hope this helps! Drop a comment should you have questions. Have a blast on your travels!
